1934 FIFA World Cup Final

On the 10th of June 1934, hosts Italy were up against Czechoslovakia, who formed in 1918, in the FIFA World Cup Final. In the 71st minute, Antonin Puc scored to put Czechoslovakia ahead and Frantisek Svoboda nearly made it two-nil to Czechoslovakia. However, Raimundo Orsi scored for Italy 10 minutes later and the match was level at the 90th minute. Therefore, there had to be extra time and Angelo Schiavio scored the winning goal in the 95th minute. The Azzuris were world champions from 1934 to the next World Cup in 1938.

1934 FIFA World Cup

தென் அமெரிக்காவில் நடந்த  முதலாவது FIFA உலகக் கோப்பை போட்டியின் வெற்றியை தொடர்ந்து, இரண்டாவது போட்டி இத்தாலியில் நான்கு  ஆண்டுகளின் பின் நடந்தது.  சுவீடன் மட்டுமே தனது நாட்டில் உலகக் கோப்பை போட்டியை நடத்த விரும்பியது, ஆனால் பின்னர் அதுவும் மறுத்துவிட்டது. இந்த FIFA உலகக் கோப்பை 367,000 உதைபந்தாட்ட ரசிகர்கள் கண்டுகளித்ததால் மிகவும் பிரபல்யமானது. 16 தேசிய அணிகள் கலந்துகொண்டதால் போடிகள் பலவழிகளிலும் முன்னேற்றமடைந்தது.

 As the first ever FIFA World Cup was very successful in South America, the tournament took place again 4 years later, this time in the European country, Italy. The only other country interested to host the World Cup was Sweden but they withdrew later. This World Cup was very popular with a total of 367,000 people watching the matches at the venues. The size of the event also increased in many ways with 16 national teams competing. These teams are:

Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Czechoslovakia, Egypt, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United States of America

This time there were no group stages in the competiton, it was a complete knockout tournament. The biggest surprise in the round of 16 was the hosts, Italy beating the USA 7-1 on the 27th May 1930. Italy, drew against Spain in the quarter finals meaning that the match had to be replayed. The replay was won by Italy. The top goalscorer of the competiton was Czechoslovakian, Oldrich Nejedly with 5 goals in 4 matches.

யப்பானில் நடந்த 2002 FIFA உலகக் கோப்பை போட்டியின் இறுதியாட்டம் International Stadium Yokohamaவில் நடந்தது. 72,327 இருக்கைகள் கொண்ட Yokohama விளையாட்டரங்கு, 01/03/1998டில் திறக்கப்பட்டது. இந்த விளையாட்டரங்கு பலவகையான விளையாட்டுகளுக்கும் நிகழ்ச்சிகளுக்கும் பயன்படுத்தலாம். இந்த கால்பந்து மைதானம் 107m x 72m அளவுடையது. இதன் கட்டுமானச்செலவு அண்ணளவாக $760,000,000.


The International Stadium Yokohama, Japan was the venue for the 2002 FIFA World Cup Final. It was opened on 01/03/1998 and has a total of 72,327 seats. The stadium can be used for many different events including sporting and other entertainment events. It has a football pitch, 107m by 72m in size. The total construction cost of the stadium was approx. $760,000,000.

முதல் FIFA உலகக்  கோப்பை போட்டியின் அரை இறுதிச்சுற்றில் இரண்டு அணிகள் சிறப்பாக விளையாடின. 26th ஜூலை 1930 நடந்த போட்டியில்   அர்ஜென்டீனா 6-1 என்ற கணக்கில் ஐக்கிய அமெரிக்காவை வென்றது. அதைப்போன்று 27th  ஜூலை 1930 நடந்த போட்டியில்  உருகுவே  6-1 என்ற கணக்கில் யூகோஸ்லாவியாவை  விழ்த்தி வெற்றி கண்டது. அதனால் முதல் FIFA உலகக் கோப்பை போட்டியின் இறுதியில் அர்ஜென்டீனாவும் உருகுவேயும் மோதின. யாரும் எதிர்பார்க்காத வண்ணம் 68000 ரசிகர்கள் உதைபந்த்தாட்டத்தை கண்டுகளிக்க 'Estadio Cetenario'விற்கு வந்திருந்தார்கள். பெல்ஜியத்தை சேர்ந்த நடுவர்  Jean Langenus, 15:30 மணிக்கு ஆட்டத்தை  தொடக்கிவைத்தார். இடைவேளைக்குமுன் அர்ஜென்டினா 2-1 என்ற கணக்கில் முன்னிலையில் இருந்தது. ஆனால் ஆட்ட இறுதியில் 4-2 என்ற கணக்கில் உருகுவே வெற்றிபெற்றது.

Leading to the first FIFA World Cup Final, there were two one-sided semi finals with Argentina beating the USA 6-1 on the 26th of July and a 6-1 win for Uruguay against Yugoslavia on the 27th. Therefore the first ever final was between Argentina and Uruguay. A stunning 68000 fans came to the Estadio Cetenario, Uruguay to watch the match, approximately 30,000 of them from Argentina. At 15:30, the match began with the chosen referee being  Jean Langenus from Belgium. Argentina were winning 2-1 at half time with goals from Carlos Peucelle and Guillermo Stabile. However, Uruguay scored 3 in the 2nd half by Pedro Cea, Victoriano Iriarte and Hector Castro to and went on to win 4-2.
